Question re. small red rubber spinners
These spinners (but in red), what airplanes did they go on?
https://coxengines.ca/cox-.049-rubber-spinner-black.html
Whilst at the subject, for which airplanes were they for?

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
Bernie I have one of those and the only plane I can think it may have came from is a Skyraider I got for Christmas probably more than 40 years ago.

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
I seem to remember this one on the Cessna (150?) with auto-pilot, or whatever the lever was called that turned the plane into a trainer.
The fuselage was white with red and black stickers.
I always hated Cox stickers...they stunk at sticking beyond the first few flights!

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
Skimming the catalogs available on the forum:
Bushmaster
Star Cruiser-UFO
Corsair
The small red rubber spinner also came on the Black Widow for its first few years.

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
lol, well at least we know what the 'black' goes too. The Red was also on the early red 'civil defense' Super Cub 105 and the Super Cub 150
Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
I think during some years in the 70s, the Black Widows were supplied with a small red rubber spinner.
If anyone has one extra I’m interested

RE: Questionre: Small red spinners
The small red rubber spinner definitely was used on the Cox Recon camera recon kit with the Sure Start engine. I just dug my NIB Recon out of storage and opened it up see if the red spinner was the same as the box cover. It was …..
Also, I'm glad I went to the trouble in that I found a NIB Cox Zooper I forgot I had...

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
Est. $8.95 for intl shipping
Any chance to buy them ”off eBay”? I am putting together a parts order soon anyway. Besides, I don’t have an eBay account

$8.95 shipping is for an order of any size but limited to 1,000 items per order (a few exceptions for large / heavy items).
We had a few new ones we sold for $4.95 each but the ones on eBay are used. What is your price target for all 4 and, yes we can combine with a website order at no additional shipping cost.
Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
The price target... I don’t know, you’re selling 3 new black ones for 4.95, so maybe 6 bucks for the four of them?

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
The black ones we have many thousands of and we will never sell out and also got them real cheap, so we can sell them for $1.65 / each.
The red ones are probably the first ones we found in over 5 years; a little bit of a supply and demand issue $9.95 for all four would be our target price, seeing that four new ones would have sold and did sell for $19.80 within a few hours of listing ($4.95 / each). There are actually 5 in total but one has a small cut at the tip.
We took down the listing as we now have two more inquiries for those but you asked first (if you want them).

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
Thanks Bernie.
10 bucks for all four of them is OK for me. I only really ”need” one, so I’d be ok sharing them with the two other fellows too if it is not too much hassle for you and if they are happy with less than four.
I didn’t realize they were that rare
Let me know what you think.

Re: Question re. small red rubber spinners
Yes, one should be fine and seems the other two wanted only one as well. Leaves an extra one and we found a few more in the lot yesterday if anyone else wants one or more.
