Device For crankshafts and drag plate (armed)
Friends, here I share with you a device, effective, accurate and without risk of damaging any part when installed.
It is the coupling between the crankshaft and the front drive plate on the Cox engines.
This device varying the size of it, works for different engine displacements and also for the different crankshafts, with suction hole: (medallion - Tee Dee) and solid: (Babe Bee, Killer, Black Widow, etc.)
I hope you enjoy it!

Front segment can be made with screw end, and can be screwed on back part for use with TD, Medallion.

Friend, thank you for your message!
Believe me or not, I had thought of something like your comments, telescopic type, but I decided to do it fixed, well, I do not want there to be unwanted movements when adjusting the pieces, a little more aluminum alloy, a fun time with the winch and I decided to make specific parts for each engine!

Thank you Mauricio a very versatile tool that will also save the thread inside the shaft end that can get damaged when forcing the prop drive plate back on the shaft in the traditional way.!

A device can also be made for to remove crank shafts from propeller drive plate

That's sweet Mauricio! After watching you crank out a few little jewels with your new lathe, I know what I'm asking for Christmas!

Thanks Friend for going through the post! ...
Yes, the idea is to be able to arm without risks and efficiently, without forcing anything, that everything goes to its place safely.

This is Levent !, only that it is not necessary first, because when screwing a screw in the crankshaft to the top of the thread, that is to say to the bottom, it will not damage the thread when pressing on it to remove the crankshaft, but, You can also make a tool that replaces that method ....

Friend Bob ... yes! ... I'm enjoying it and a lot ... I like to learn and this lathe lends itself to enjoy and capture many things that spin in your head.
This is wonderful, after having been making some pieces by hand ... this is a spaceship for me!

Thanks Dave !! ... I'm glad to know that I've caught the enthusiasm ... it's very healthy to give the brain extra energy, think and create, that's great.
Do not hesitate! If you can make Santa Claus bring it to him ... Go ahead !!

Mauricio, because front piece made from aluminum, then it crush and flatter the grooves on aluminum propeller plate? Probably it will be good if it is made from softer material e.g. plastic such as delrin?

Hello, I understand perfectly what you indicate to me.
The upper part can be made you is said, in a softer material, as a precaution, but believe me that the motor itself does not offer resistance when assembling, the pressure or force that is needed is very soft and does not damage the grooves of The plate of the propeller.
Rather, the most important resistance occurs when the engine is disassembled, since with the use of gears, temperature and fuel, the oil often glue and that moment is critical, but for that case the accessory is not used. mount
Anyway and to avoid any possible damage, I think your comment is appropriate, valid and, therefore, it would be better to make that frontal attachment in grilon or plastic material.
One of these days I will start making one and I will share it here.
Thanks friend!!!
